Shinjuku Station

I have made it safely to Tokyo. I am staying with a really good high school friend, the one and only Polong Lin. He has been really nice to offer me lodging and act as my tour guide. Arigatou!

The jet lag has finally hit, I think I’m going to pass out soon. More or less, >24 hours in transit. I took the Airport limousine from Narita airport to Shinjuku station, a nap inducing 90 minute ride. There was quite a lot to see on the way, but again it was rainy. I had some Japanese fast food (some beef + rice + soup combo?) I ordered from a machine and some delicious bittersweet green tea ice cream.

Was friendly

Tomorrow will be the first day of exploring. See some temples, some parks and by far, see the people. Japanese are quite interesting. Their customs and culture is so different from the “west.” Definitely will update and more to come  as I explore the world’s most populous and advanced city.

Oyasumi nasai (おやすみなさい) – Goodnight!
